Instead of pouring another cup when the 3pm crash hits, try pressing a different kind of button.

A 5-minute “emergency energy reset” that supports your brain and body, not just your willpower.

Here is the exact protocol:

1) Drink a full glass of water with minerals

Fill a glass and actually finish it. Add a pinch of minerals or electrolytes if you have them. Many afternoon crashes are really low hydration plus low minerals.

2) Eat a small protein + fibre snack

Keep it simple. A small handful of nuts with a piece of fruit. Yogurt with berries. Protein helps stabilise energy. Fibre slows the release so you do not spike then crash again.

3) Move your body for 2 to 3 minutes

Walk to the end of the hallway. Step outside if you can. March in place. Movement sends fresh blood and oxygen to your brain and often clears that heavy, foggy feeling.

4) Take 5 slow, deep breaths

In through your nose, out through your mouth. Longer exhales than inhales. This calms your stress system so your body can actually use the fuel you just gave it.

I started building protocols like this after noticing that even people using solid nutrition support still crashed because they were under-drinking water and overusing coffee. The best nutrition works with tiny lifestyle shifts like this, not instead of them.

Next time your energy nosedives, try this reset before you reach for more caffeine. Most people feel at least a small lift just from steps 1 and 3.

Save this for your next 3pm crash and follow for more no-coffee energy resets.
